Department of Electrical Engineering

Silpakorn University

The Department of Electrical Engineering is an academic department set up under the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technologies at Silpakorn University. It was established in 2007 aiming to expand educational opportunities for all and provide academic services in field of electronics, electrical engineering and computer systems to meet the needs of the community and industry at both regional and national scopes.

The Department currently offers two degree programs, namely Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic and Computer Engineering and Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer engineering. The Bachelor of Engineering degree was first offered in 2007. The Master of Engineering degree was introduced in 2017. The new curriculum plan for Bachelor and Master degree programs is going to introduce in the near future.

Ambition

 

The Department of Electrical Engineering aims to develop and manage service quality in higher education to produce highly competent engineers who have a professional code of ethics, and aims to advance research as well as provide academic services to communities.

  • To be recognised as a provider of academic learning and research in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and computer systems, which combines knowledge of the engineering and technology with the art and culture.

Mission

  • Promote environment and education valuing academic excellence in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and computer systems to produce highly competent engineers for communities and industries.
  • Strengthen the academic program in part of learning, teaching and research for quality outcomes in education.
  • Support staff and students to strive for research and development in the field of electrical engineering, electronics and computer systems.
  • Provide academic services and engage with the range of communities for achieving sustainable development.

Educational Facilities

The Department of Electrical Engineering has provided conducive facilities for learning and practicing, e.g. lecture rooms, project rooms, laboratories, and specific research laboratories. Some list of our facilities is Computer Lab, Electrical Testing Lab, Electronics Lab, Microprocessors and Embedded Systems Lab, Digital Signal Processing Lab, Anechoic chamber Lab, and Activities rooms which are multi-purpose rooms used by students.
